Hosting is probably our main product. But, it comes in many shapes and forms (and sizes!). Hosting is where your files, databases, emails, software and more are all stored. A type of hosting is fundemental for your website, and different types allow you to do different things with different levels of access.

Here is a little summary of the different types of hosting we offer, and links through to them.

Standard web hosting (see plans below)

This type of web hosting is best for a standard user, who wants to have their own space on the internet. It's also useful for business websites, blogs and any one standard website. We offer a range of packages which increase in size equivalent to the size/popularity of your website. This package is typically known as "shared hosting" in the industry - but it does not mean you are sharing your package with anyone else. It means that you are hosted on the same server as other websites, and our team manage the server and technicial aspects for you - all you need to do is develop your website.

Reseller Hosting

Tech-Hosts is well known for their reseller packages. You get your very own WHM which allows you to manage all your accounts and your account too. The amount of webspace and monthly bandwidth we supply for those prices is unbelievable and leaves other companies behind. Reselling hosting can be of great benefits to you. It allows you to make money, but it could also be used to help you afford a website for yourself. If you buy a reseller, then you can host your own website, and sell hosting to others. By selling hosting to others, you can cover the cost of your reseller and could even make profit. You could start your own business with a reseller, having your own customers. It's typically aimed at a small web host, or a cunning way to get funding for your website idea.

Master Reseller Hosting

Tech-Hosts is well known for their reseller packages. A master reseller sounds like the next level to a normal reseller, and that's exactly what it is. A reseller allows you to host your own website and create web hosting as well, and a master reseller gives you the power to host your own website, create web hosting and also offer reseller hosting. If you're budget is high enough, or you want to push your budget a tiny bit higher, the income from this extra investment can easily be great in the long term, as it opens your business up to a whole other reseller market.

Linux VPS Hosting

Virtual Private Servers, also known as Virtual Dedicated Servers are divisions of a physical server split into multiple virtual servers. It is a server that runs inside another server and each VPS acts like a dedicated server. Each virtual server runs with its own full-fledged operating system, and each server can be independently rebooted through our VPS control panel. The linux platform provides a stable and secure way for you to offer web hosting, resellers and more. You get full root access to the VPS and full control over what you run on it. That means you can run any software you like, including servers. For example, it is easy to setup and run SHOUTcast and teamspeak servers. Linux VPS are not for the basic user, and although the plans are fully managed for a short time only, it is advised that you have atleast basic knowledge of linux for this package.

Windows VPS Hosting

A windows VPS is similar to a linux VPS in pretty much only one respect - it is a virtual dedicated server (a division of a physical server, acting like its own dedicated server). However, the windows operating system is very different to that of linux. It's useful for a regular home user who is used to the windows operating system. The main method of connecting to your VPS is using Remote Desktop Connection (which comes as standard on windows PCs) and allows you to visually manage your VPS. It does exactly what it says on the name, you can remotely see the actual Desktop of the VPS, just like it's your own PC. A windows VPS is typically used for when you need to run software or programs that can only run on windows - it's not the best operating system for a hosting platform but with specific software you can use it for that as well.

Cloud Hosting and Clustered Web Hosting

Cloud Hosting is like linux VPS hosting except on a completely different infrastructure. You can harness a selection of the power of dozens of physical servers, in such a way that your service cannot go down. If one physical server in the cloud should fail, its load is passed onto several other servers seemlessly - with no downtime whatsoever. With the Tech-Hosts cloud hosting product, you are able to order a number of virtual 'nodes' which essentially is how much computing power you would like to use. You are then able to create Linux Virtual Private Servers using these nodes computing power. You can delegate the computing power you purchase between your VPS and it is completely flexible. Your cloud hosting product is automatically activated and can be fully managed through your client area account.
